The story of the team behind the chip that launched a revolution

Other MOS Technology & Commodore International Archival Documents

William Barnhill
Industrial Engineer
The following documents, photographs, and MOS Technology/Commodore memorabilia were contributed by William Barnhill, an equipment, process, and industrial engineer who worked in a variety of capacities at the company from 1973 to 1986. In addition to working in FAB maintenance, Mr. Barnhill also worked on both diffusion and ion implantation in the wafer area. Circa 1980-1981, he worked with Facilities Director, George Giansanti, to redesign Commodore's photo-lithography area, as well as the plasma etch and a portion of the diffusion facilities. Ultimately, he was tasked with helping to design a new addition to the Commodore building. Bill's wife, Bonny, also worked at MOS Technology, both as an alignment operator in the FAB area and as a QA supervisor.
